The Lake Arbor Board of Directors is comprised of Elected Officers, Appointed Officers, Committees and a representative from each of the Homeowners Associations (HOAs).
 

ELECTED OFFICERS

POSITION OFFICER'S NAME FUNCTION
PRESIDENT THELMA MURRAY-FISHER The chief officer of the Lake Arbor Civic Association and shall preside at all meetings of the LACA and of th Board of Directors. The President shall perform such other duties as are necessarily incident to the the offfice of the President
VICE PRESIDENT   In the event of the absence or inability of the President to perform the duties of tht office, the Vice President shall assume and perform the duties of the President. The Vice President shall perform such other duties which may be assigned.
CORRESPONDING SECRETARY   Maintains and reports correspondence of the Lake Arbor Civic Association. Distributes notices of meetings as required.
RECORDING SECRETARY MAURICE JEFFERSON Keeps complete and accurate written records of all LACA meetings, including documented records of meeting attendees.
TREASURER WILLIE GRAVES Compiles the annual budget based on written input from the committees, collects all dues and keeps an account of all funds received and expended by the Lake Arbor Civic Association. Compiles and provides written monthly reports.

APPOINTED POSITIONS

POSITION OFFICER'S NAME FUNCTION
HISTORIAN ELAINE MURRELL Receives and maintains all LACA historical documents. Provides a written report to the Board of Directors annually.
WEBMISTRESS ELAINE WRIGHT

Designs, develops, and implements the LACA website resulting in effective communication for all Lake Arbor residents.

LAFI LIAISON DIANE SAVOY Serves as the liaison to the Lake Arbor Foundation, Inc.
PARLIAMENTARIAN   Ensures that all LACA meetings are carried out in accordance with Robert's Rules of Orders, Revised. Serves as the timekeeper for the Board of Directors.

COMMITTEE CHAIRS

POSITION OFFICER'S NAME FUNCTION
BEAUTIFICATION BILL FRAZIER Conducts projects to promote community involvement in the beautification of all of Lake Arbor.
EDUCATION VACANT The Education Committee of the Lake Arbor Civic Association functions in an advocacy capacity and coordinates educational and life-long learning activities in the Lake Arbor community and the Mitchellville-Largo-Kettering (MLK) area.
ELECTIONS MAURICE JEFFERSON The officers of the LACA representing the Lake Arbor community shall be elected for a two (2) year term at the biennial meeting held in May and shall assume office on July 1 following their election. All elected officers, HOA representatives and other entities shall assume office at the beginning of the LACA fiscal year following their election or appointment.
MEMBERSHIP SIGRID SAMUEL Solicits memberships to help fund the various activities sponsored by the LACA and to enable LACA.
SAFETY GREG LOFTIN Monitors traffic safety and home and neighborhood security issues impacting the Lake Arbor community and provides recommended solutions.
ZONING SIGRID SAMUEL Responsible for the monitoring of all activities concerning property and land development in areas directly affecting our neighborhood, maintains an alert eye on any development in Prince George's County and works closely with other civic groups to achieve the optimum results in development and services for all residents in our area.
